R.I.P. Chris Cornell. This along with the AiC catalogue, the first Audioslave, and Nirvana really helped transform and grow my listening habits at a young age. Now I'm off to check out his solo album Euphoria Morning, which Opeth posted today was a great listen.

Although Soundgarden was never my favourite grunge band, this is my favourite album from that era and you can definitely make a case it's the best.

Was hoping to see some of these songs played live in the near future, but I guess it's no longer the case. RIP

This is definitely among the best of that era, along with Dirt being my two personal favorites.

Jamming Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog hard today. Fell on Black Days hits hard. RIP Chris.

I've never listened to Soundgarden beyond the radio staples but it should still be on the front page, like Purple Rain or Ace of Spades.

dont wanna sound insensitive but my thinking is that there are enough lists/news article to notify users/commemorate Chris' life - setting this precedent is sorta errant coz its like where do you draw the line since there are (And will increasingly be) dudes passing from fairly noteworthy bands left right and center.
Not that i have any problem whatsoever with knocking harry style's out of the featured albums just my thoughts

I came into work this morning in a pretty sound mood... only to have that crushed at the news this morning.

It's tragic how many brilliant, talented, musicians from this era passed on the way they did.

I read somewhere that during yesterday's encore, Chris sang some lyrics from led zeppelin's "in my time of dying". I don't know if that's true, but if it that actually happened, it was quite foreshadowing.

I still remember the first time I saw that Jesuschrist Pose video and how Cornell hit those notes, the man wasn't from this world. Fuck man, fuck.

Soundgarden day.
