"Three years ago in 2006 AFI released what is indisputably their best album, Decemberunderground"
I'm sure this has been touched on but I don't feel like reading 5 pages of comments. I don't see how you can possibly say Decemberunderground is without question, AFI's best album. Especially when it got torn up by just about everyone. Personally, I liked it, but it was not their best effort.
"Partly because this album sucks, a lot of people have thought it is good. That's okay, there's more stupid people than smart people of course."
What are you, 12? Defend your arguments. Don't make these ridiculously general statements. The album returned more to their roots because Davey and Jade, the primary song writers (well, Jade mostly) have an outlet now for their electronica side in Blaqk Audio. Crash Love displays creative alt-rock writing combined with their punk roots. They show true variation between something more traditional in Torch Song, much more epic in Okay, I Feel Better Now, and even unbelievably catchy in Too Shy to Scream.
I don't usually attack a writer, but you're a terrible reviewer. You make these HUGE generalizations and just keep saying music is "bad" and people are stupid. Even if your point is valid, which most of them aren't, articulating your point in THIS manner just makes you seem like a jackass. Or like a 13 year old who just learned who Dream Theater is and has just discovered his pedestal to preach on for the next 30-40 years. (No, I'm not saying all dream theater fans are pretentious, I'm just calling HIM pretentious.... and come on... lots of Prog Metal guys are.)
Anyway, less ramble, less rant, more SOLID defense, not just whining that it isn't over-produced to hell, and stop calling people stupid. And one last thing... The only thing different about Davey's vocals between DU and CL is the compression is hit HARD in a few places... Other than that, he has mostly the same range, tone, and timbre, though he doesn't show the range off quite as much.
