I haven't finished listening to this album, but it really sounds like they dug up the old vocalist and somehow re-animated him long enough to lay down some tracks. I don't think I would have known it was a different singer if it wasn't common knowledge that their previous one was dead. Great album so far, too.

Does anyone get vaguely reminded of Nutshell when they hear "Your Decision"?

As a longtime fan of Alice in Chains, and being the reason I started playing guitar, it is good to see these guys playing together again. Layne is gone, which is unfortunate, but these guys can still pull it off. I love "Acid Bubble" and "Private Hell" so much. So eerie.

Well i totally agree. Alice in Chains have come back with an album so powerful and extrordinarily strong music wise. It really does bring back memories of 90's true "Grunge" style

A few good songs, a few average ones. Decent album, nothing that special though. I don't like Duvall, Cantrell should have sung all the songs

Duvall's note at the end of Private Hell is beastly

I go back and forth between Private Hell and When the Sun Rose Again. There's really not a bad song on the album though.

Love the heavy songs on this. But Dirt was more in the vein and the S/T album was more interesting to me.
