Facelift is slightly better because it's so diverse, and for those first three songs. This sounds a bit too calculated at times, especially considering Dinosaurs follows such a similar structure

Facelift loses some steam for me around Love Hate Love, and from there zig zags between the good songs and the obnoxiousness of their glam metal roots, which I can't really stand.
This is more consistent, and is very quaint a lot of the time for a comeback album.

Yeah, the first 4 songs on Facelift are fucking killer, but then it loses steam heavily.
BGWTB is way more consistent and when comparing the music made by 40 year old men to the music to the music they made at 20 it's not so much calculated as improved songcraft. Plus, you can't calculate a song like Private Hell or the title track. Holy shit.
