It's a bit more straightforward than Layne-era AiC I think. I don't have a problem with that though. As far as comeback albums go, this is up there.

It might be an issue with pacing. The only full-on rockers on the album are Check My Brain and Last of my Kind. Tempo stays pretty constant there on out.

A Looking in View might be the most epic song they ever wrote. This album might be one of the best examples of a band making a fully successful comback and definitely eclipses their s/t, which had some great songs but way too much filler
