I really enjoyed this for the most part but some of the songs missed the mark entirely. Maybe it'll grow?

yeah album is damn good

lyrics are great

"No one means what they say

And you can tell as clear as deep-sea fish

All internal organs and glowing eyes

I’ve been good, I’ve been busy

I’ve realized my friend’s true intentions

Cut all ties

I’ve been doing ten thousand pushups a day

Plastic cube filled with pus that sits atop my supervisor’s desk

The feeling of ice on the inside of a wrist

Always tired, need a nap

I have to make myself brush my teeth

I’ve made a list of everything I’ve ever owned

When the days bring nothing new

And the sound of laughter makes you sick

And snide

You know you’ve got the jitters

Nothing’s wrong, I’m just fine

I’ve realized I just don’t like jokes "

Yeah, they're really inventive. I like the musing quality they have.

'There are times I think eternal life ain’t such a bad gig
Smoke all you want and see the planets
If and only if they find a way to cure the longing
The distant panic
Someday, I’m telling you
They’ll make a memory machine
To wax our hearts to a blinding sheen
To wash away the grief'

my favorite bit

the voice kinda put me off initially, i remember. obviously I love it now.

just took me a few listens to get what they were going for, and then it clicked.

only song that took time to grow on me was "you are invited"

the others were all pretty immediate

that's funny, you are invited and gyroscope were the only two to resonate with me on first listen.

dude you are invited is such a weird song though.

it was too sort of bare for me to get into and I felt slightly awkward listening to it. that went away though
