Common has made such a quality album with Be. The album has made my best of 2005 and is quite possibly the greatest hip-hop album I've heard.

I find myself only frequently listening to 4 tracks from this album (the intro, Corners, Chi City & It's Your World). The rest just don't hold up to the standards of the other tracks. I've grown to like Electric Circus better than this one actually...

Probably one of my favorite hip hop albums of all time. I love his use of jazz samples and simple, catch synth melodies. His lyrics are very smart and witty. Definitely one of the better hip hop albums of this decade.

Great Album. In today's hip hop an album like this is a golden gift and one should appreciate it. This is a hip hop album that can be listened to on a sunday morning or long trip. Not too loud or long but has depth and meaning in its lyrics. Good Review. I do like "Go" but I agree that one who isn't a fan of Mayer may not like it too much. Also the "The Food" could have been an excellent song but the live sound deters from it. Faithful, such a great song. Wish it was longer.
