The Sum of All Fears could be a Megadeth album.
|

The System Has Failed and Countdown To Extinction could be Tom Clancy novels I guess

seems like I'm in the minority thinking that this album is painfully inconsistent

"3.5 for now maybe it'll grow on me. I'm not getting the same vibe as everyone else"
@jingledeath - Same here i cant see wht is so good here in this record, tht the staff (who rated Insomnium's ATD 3/5 for being repetitive) hav given it a 4.5/5!!
wud like to add tht i like thrash too.but its injustice on the side of Inso.
wud be happy if any staff clears my doubts.

Holy crap I am literally amazed this got such a high score. I will definitely have to check this out.

Have been listening to tracks all day, but I'll let it soak in before I rate it.
I'm leaning on a 4 atm.

too cool for you ;)

I agree with trey about the vocals on that song about the north hollywood shootout.

Really really good. I haven't listened to Megadeth in forever, but this reminded me why I liked them in the first place.

IMO marty is still better than chris... his solos play a big part in making RIP so great...
|

Yeah, hearing Holy Wars and Hangar 18 for the first time was like a brick in the face.
This isn't quite that strong IMO, but it seems more solid throughout where with RIP I tend to get a little bored halfway through. I should listen to it more.

4 reviews of this is a bit excessive, but still, great album nice review But mine was the first ;)Will a casual thrash fan not having an opinion of any other Megadeth work enjoy this? How about a casual thrash fan that generally has a negative opinion of Megadeth's work? That's me, and I love it. If you don't include RIP and United Abominations, there are only seven songs in their entire discography that I really like.i cant see wht is so good here in this record, tht the staff (who rated Insomnium's ATD 3/5 for being repetitive) hav given it a 4.5/5!!

wud be happy if any staff clears my doubts. The Insomnium album is boring. One or two songs are easy to listen to, but going through an entire album of the same damn thing (especially after already hearing four other albums of the same damn thing) is too much. As for any other staff member clearing your doubts. I doubt any of the others even care enough about Megadeth or Insomnium to even have an opinion.

Cool, I never really dug Megadeth either. Will get this today.

Hey at least the Insomnium album wasn't Ghost Brigade. That was such a snore-fest.

I don't even know who released that album, so I'm assuming you're right.
On another note, it seems like no one is checking out Chris Poland's band, Damn the Machine (from 1993). Drastic actions are in order - prepare to have your last.fm inboxes spammed.

Oh, so I guess I have no clue who they are. Good thing, since you say they suck anyway.
