Oh I bet you are right, and I can tell how this will play out. I will appreciate the cathartic moments
more, but I will not get over the rest. The same happened with Between the Buried and Me. No matter
how much I listen to that band, it always sounds like shit to me, even though I have found a way to
appreciate and enjoy the cathartic moments.

oh man i love variations but i will admit it's a bit of a poor choice for a closer...almost

i just love how schizophrenic it is, how it goes from a little riff with some JUNZ and jazzy drumming in there to just full grindcore goodness....listening to it right now

fuck man

I just love everything about this record

honestly that's probably it, just that it's a bad closer imo

i will admit that the transition into it from weekend sex change is sick as fuck, so jarring

i don't think this album really needs a flashy/unique/epic closer though, it's only goal is to beat you over the head and destroy your brain and it does that so fucking well with the songs it has

don't need no Man the Ramparts or Jane Doe

Hm then I do hope this grows on me as it seems the same happened to you guys.

Listen to Axe to Fall (song) by Converge. That song is dissonant and chaotic as fuck but the ending of
the song compliments the rest. That is why I like Converge. They balance out everything so
well.

Listening to this band, there isn't enough balance. It is too tense for me.

A song like this would never work on this record.

"Listening to this band, there isn't enough balance. It is too tense for me."

This is the only one of their LPs that is like so you might as well just pick up another one if it doesn't do it for you, none of their records are anything like this.
