it's solid cd no doubt. but i think a 4.5 is a little generous

this is amazing.
|
| |
why hasn't this album made its way onto itunes yet??!
|
| |
cause itunes sucks?
|
| |
if this is so good why would you hope for mtv not to 'get a whiff' of this? surely exposure would be a good for a deserving band
i mean not that this is a deserving band they're pretty poor, i'm just raising the point you know
|
| |
because mtv ruins good bands with overexposure. and if you dont think MMF is good... then you have a problem.

I actually gave it a 5, for the very reason that I haven't felt this awesome listening to a cd in a long time. Every song on here is a kick me in the nuts song and I love it. I'd say Quantity Is Their Quality is probably my most favorite on the cd.
Definitely a step forward from their EP, although I do miss the screams from Chase.

I haven't listened to the album enough times to rate it yet, but I just saw these guys lives and they were great. They were actually better than Confide and Agraceful, which in the case of Confide is saying something
|
| |
Ive always wanted to see confide. Are they that good?
|
| |
Watching paint dry would be more enjoyable than Agraceful...they were absolutely awful when they opened for The Chariot.
|
| |
If your asking about Confide being that good then yes. If your asking about Memphis Mayfire being that good it may just of been the crowd, but like I said they were better live

I thought this album was so mainstream when i first heard it, it took me a long time to get used to it. Funny thing is, that im hooked on it now.

Wow, this is a pretty solid album.
I'm so glad I found a post-hardcore/southern rock band with no clichés or generic passages.

I was disappointed as I expected something better. Good, but idk, sort of plain and bordering generic. Main vocals turned a bit annoying. They have potential to be better. High 3, but i don't see it turning into a 3.5

After listening to this album for a while i have to say that if Post-hardcore southern rock was a real genre that this would be the best example of it. I love how they blend in the southern style without going the overboard maylene 3 guitars. This is exactly what i would want out of any band trying to go for post-hardcore southern rock and that's why it is so damn good.

I wasn't too impressed with this album. After having high expectations from their [EP] release; then their front-man change, I was a bit let down on 'Sleepwalking'. There are, however, a few admirable songs that I enjoyed [e.g. Track 1]. But, I don't know; is it just me or does their new singer/screamer have a misplaced tone throughout the whole CD? His voice has a dry, melodic sound that turns me off. Shoot.. I don't know.. maybe it's just the production... or maybe my imagination... or... maybe I'm "sleep-talking".

i like the new guy.

But what's with the odd sounding tone? Maybe production? He's not bad, at all. He just can't compare to Chase.

From a musican, and listeners perspective I don't see how this is 'boring', it's far from predictable. I generally hate all attempts at southern rock, but they turned their act around from that whiny bullshit EP, to something that I can respect.
If you're telling me you miss those whiny, gargle screams from the old dude, I think there could quite possibly be something wrong with you. This guys scream is great, and his vocal and melody range is far more creative and just really... overall, comes out on top.
As far as the music, big big improvement. Everything flows so well, it's hard to believe it's the same guys from before. I'm not too educated on line up or anything, I don't follow things like that, but, regardless, shit is good.
=)
