This is fascinating. I don't even know why I like it so much, this is just black metal done right.

The booklet is awesome, you won't be disappointed.

The same label are also releasing a split full length album of Panopticon and another band called When Bitter Spring Sleeps, who have only (to my knowledge) released a self titled demo. Apparently it's currently recording and will be out later this year.

I think I'll like this better when I actually buy it... the DL I found has to be a pre-release rip... it has atrocious sound quality. Or is that just what this sounds like?

He had the most unique packaging for Panopticon and the Split E.P. And that new Split sounds awesome as well.

To be honest I didn't think there was much of a difference between the leak and the final version. Maybe a little production gloss, but there wasn't anything worth noting. And the production on this is relatively very good, as with the leak, I didn't think it was 'atrocious' at all.

Apparently he's currently looking for another label to rerelease the self titled, so I'll finally be able to pick it up.

The acoustic parts are definitely cooler than October Falls and the black metal parts are more black metal. Well, this surpassed Primordial Womb. It's nice and heavy.

Yeah I guess so, I think the first issue of the album is totally gone, hence the reprint.
