Their older stuff is good too but far less unique then the stuff they are doing now. Can't wait for the new album to drop.

Can't imagine what seeing them is like. It's one thing to see self-mutilation in pictures and video but to see it in person is something else.

I honestly don't think I have the stomach to see someone mutilate themselves on stage. What makes it worse is that Kvarforth is a complete moron and does nothing but spout idiocy when not making music basically. Shining is cool, but Kvarforth is probably one of the most despicable people ever.

I wouldn't go and say that's how it is for black metal in particular, all genres have their dumb outspoken stars, Kvarforth is just really really dumb. Hell of song-writer though.

There's douchebags and idiots in every group there is. It's just that super dissonant, dark, depressing, etc. music is going to attract people who are the same way. Black metal personified in a way.

I really really hope they're getting rid of that faux death metal influence that appeared on this album. I love Halmstad. But not this.
