Immediately catchy, not a whole lot of lead-up in order to adjust to his flow. He's easily the superior emcee. There are some moments of mediocre substance, average beats; trumped by truly intelligent & original lyrics.

Big L was one of the premier hardcore rappers of the eastcoast, with an agressive flow and a penchant for hyperactive lyricism. This album couldve been much more then it was if it wasnt for the half-baked production and weak hooks. Still, with L's incredible rapping skills this record has retained the status of a cult classic over the years as well as a milestone in underground hip-hop
