No way this is "1" though, at the worst a 2-2.5. Now your dig, "WhiteWall," on the other hand, is certainly one-worthy..

Alexisonfire are a solid band, as far as what's mainstream, the musicianship always seems tight, not deserving of a horrible rating, but this is one of their weaker records.

George's vocals bring this down for me. Though they've grown on me a little, it's still a pretty big letdown overall.

This record sounds like the maturing of a great band. Excellent record. Love the cover's artwork.

And given it time, it could very likely become my favorite record of them.

Epicly amazing
Love that they have toned down the shouting, but enjoy it when it is well balanced. They have now perfected it and obviously crisis was good for the same reason.
Dallas' voice is amazing
Enjoy that there is also a few slower songs, as there was on crisis, very atmospheric especially in 'Burial'.
Awesome

I think Jesse took all the zazz out of this band when he left. Has to be the only explanation.

I liked this a lot at for a while but it didn't have the repeatability of Watch Out! and Crisis for me. Tbh i miss the sweet guitar riffs of both watch out and crisis. I understand that they said they didn't want to reinvent the genre but u don't have to strum chords all the time. idk, to me they went for more of a wall of sound effect which worked in the epicness department but took away from some of the interesting qualities of the band. I liked this album a lot and i still love Dallas' voice, but i think on the next go around they should utilize their chops again and show everyone who does post-hardcore half-assed to get chicks how it's really done.
