I've only heard the first song on this but, it seems fairly promising.

Upon first and second listens, I've not enjoyed this as much as their other records, but it's still solid.

It's growing each time, so whilst no classic, should be one I'll keep around.

Best songs are Born and Raised, The Northern and Young Cardinals.

I've bought this record yesterday. After the first hearings, it already made its way into my top ten
list of the year so far. I'll wait some time until I rate this one.

alexisonfire sickest drums ever?

No, but they're hugely improved from Crisis and many notches above other bands in 'Lexis's contemporaries.

Writing quick comments doesn't entail spellcheck. Also, I'm sorry I'm not a fan of poppy alt-rock that sounds like every other piece of shit band on the scene right now. I admit, I was a fan of their debut but they have completely watered down everything.

You're just way too desperate for attention. A 1.5? Really? And who do they sound like, exactly? And if you knew this was where they were at, why would you even listen to it?

I could give two shits about attention, I was just putting my opinion out there (which might have been a tad too dramatic, I admit). And I had no idea where the hell they would be at with this album. I thought in all honesty, "Hey, I haven't listened to these guys in a long, long time and I think I might give their new album a shot just for kicks". Concerning bands that they sound like, well, you can pretty much count in every band that uses this typical formula of radio friendly riffs combined with irritating emo-sung choruses (whatever the heck you call those type of vocals).

'Every other piece of shit band' and you still can't name one.

If this helps, they are played constantly on FM 96 (out of London, Ont.) and when I hear them played back to back with other bands off the radio station, I can hear very little difference in sound. The reason I know it's their song is because I've heard this album. I shouldn't say they sound exactly the same but they do follow a pretty typical formula. It just feels to me like it doesn't stand out like their debut album. Better?

Their original drummer, Jesse, was better. No question about it. The new one is good though.

after listening a few times through i can say i like this album. most of the tracks are solid/enjoyable. The Northern / Midnight Regulations are my fav tracks. i feel like Heading for the Sun is the only bland repedative song on the album - as in it sounds to much like every other song they've writen. i also really hate the song Burial...seriously this song seems like it should have been on City & Colour's first album. i listen to alexisonfire to hear some hardcore aof tunes not Dallas' boring-ass songs. could they not have just substituted Burial for a track with more awesome?
