DBM II, Self-titled, and Instant Gratification are all worth your time, Hawks.

Hawks, listen to DBMII and Mothership first. I love all their albums (except Deathstar, which is just okay), but I think you'd dig those two the most.

I just find it impressive that I've enjoyed all of their albums despite the revolving door of band members.

Yeah, that is a skill in itself. And it's isn't just a revolving door of drummers or a guitarist or something. The fuckin vocalist can make a huge impact on a band's sound but they've managed to pull it off every single time. Kudos to them.

They've always had Will Swan and Matt Mingus, and those two reallyyyyyyy make the band what it is.

I've found myself not liking the Tillian-era stuff as much as I used to. Don't get me wrong, it's still great, but it just doesn't do it for me like the first 3 albums.

I feel like Mothership is finally where they hit the sweet spot with Tilian. The other two aren't bad per se, but AS especially the production on his voice, and possibly just his voice were just kinda ech.

Yeah, Mothership is the best Tillian, by far. It's actually the album that got me BACK into DGD. I think at the time, it was a combination of DBM2 not doing it for me and Tillian leaving Tides Of Man. So I just kinda didn't listen to it until Mothership came out.

I'm glad I did, haha.
