Good way to put it, Fast Fingers. Vocals are just as good as a dang kazoo. This Message Edited On 11.04.05
Therefore, I think some bands need vocals abotu as much as they need a 2nd bassist.
whats wrong with a 2nd bassist? /hurt feelings

He was just talking in general. But seriously, a second bassist isn't needed. I'm a bassist myself and having another bassist wouldn't be very practical. But it's been done before.

Just purchased this album a few days ago and I'm completely blown away by this band. Great album, and very unique at that. I would have liked more in the review, but it got the job done as you tried to explain their sound. Good job.

Autumn Into Summer may be the most beautiful song I've ever heard.

Picked it up the other day, and it's phenomenal. The emotions that are conveyed throughout the tension, build-ups and atmospheric nature of the album are stunning, the guitarists play completely different riffs and lines and yet it all synchs together perfectly, and honestly, vocals are not needed whatsoever. The one tiny gripe I have is the snare sound... it's a little underproduced and tinny compared to the grandiose wall-of-guitar sound, but it's hardly an obstacle to enjoying this. Amazing shit, anyone who hasn't heard this needs to listen to it.

I finally heard this, and was greatly disappointed. It sounds like stoner metal without a vocalist, and IMO not good stoner metal at that. I yawned halfway through the first song.

The EP version of March Into The Sea is better, but Angel Tears on the EP sucks. Justin Broderick should stay away from Pelican.

I heard Opeth praised this band, and they generally have good taste, so I checked it out. From what I heard on iTunes, I may have discovered something wonderful...

Yeah, but his remixes suck. And actually, Jesu is kinda boring after a while. Same with Godflesh.

Man, you hit the nail on the head there. That's exactly what I love about this album, and it will go down in history as one of my favorites.
