I listened to it right when it came out, and like many, was turned off by the lack of maudlin-metal. Probably gave it around 15 listens and then just forgot about it. About a year later I popped it on and it kicked my ass. It never held an addiction over me like their other albums, but after a year I was truly able to appreciate it.

Better yet listen to an album more than one time before giving it a rating.

I disagree. Listen to it when/if you feel compelled to. Rate it if/when you feel compelled to. That's not to say that ratings are permanent and opinions should be withheld until you're "sure" about an album, because even highly rated albums can grow off of you as your musical tastes expand.
Just do whatever you're gonna do and listen to what we're telling you because we're life experts believe it or not.

This is by far my favorite album of theirs. The metal stuff just never gelled with me (heresy, I know). Compositions on here are astounding.

Laboratories of the Invisible World is amazing. The end of it especially, where it repeats the piano melody from the beginning of Another Excerpt, gets me every single time.

I've listened to all of their music, several times, and... I don't know what to make of this band. Let alone this album.

..and the first song; the reprising themes from Blue Ghost are pure magic.
I really wish this would get released on cd and not just vinyl and digital. It's too good to only be released in these dividing formats. Do you hear me Toby?!

I agree. It's still nice to have it on vinyl, though.
Did you preorder the Bath/LYBM boxset?

Thought about it but nah. It would've been a great opportunity to actually start collecting vinyl though. Seeing as I already own them both on cd I decided not to use another 120 bucks.

Yeah, $120 is a bit too much. But it can also be an investment. I'm sure I'll be able to sell it for much more in a few years.

Yeah, right..... I'm going to open it as soon as I get it in the mail and rape the vinyls. I'm going to listen to it until you can't see the tracks on the records.
So, you'll probably see me at eBay some years from now: USED ITEM *good condition* $25.

Haha ok, assumed you might've bought it twice just for that purpose. I think quite a few have.
But I feel you. I myself am waiting for the original 1999 'Psychobells... to come in the mail in a few days. Pretty stoked about that seeing as it's quite rare and was lucky to get the last (for now) on eBay.

Yeah. It's awesome. I bought it a few years ago. Completing the motW discography is one of my greatest achievements haha. How much did you buy it for?
