stratovarius is such a crappy band but the album cover of this is sweet

Sounds generic in my view, intros are (for the most part) too long as well, some good moments but I was disappointed overall. Production is good but melodies lack the wow factor. Anyway, I went and checked out Age of Aquarius by Revolution Renaissance and actually preferred several of the tracks on Timo Tolkki's project more than anything I found on Polaris...

nice review...yeah i actually really dig this new album, perhaps because I thought their last self titled album was crap and Polaris is much better. at the very least im just happy to have another album by these guys after everything that's happened.

Well it's a nice comeback, but to be honest i'm not fond of this power pop metal approach. 3.5/5 from me.

Power Metal...... Still has so much cheese

I love cheese but a big part of stratovarius works since elements pt 2 are not finely cut cheese. Just standard cheese, this one is better than the self titled and elements pt 2 ; but is not better than nemesis and it has the same score than elysium ( album which is acceptable cuz the 18 minute songs rules hard )

So Elysium is better? I listened to this but was kind of meh.
