Fantastic, powerful riff. But I'm also sad that that song slows down into boring, witch-vocal-infested pointless doom, instead of keeping the intensity, especially since it wasn't even the outro track. Genetian Truth is fantastic, though.
Digging: Streetlight Manifesto - The Hands That Thieve |

Album Rating: 3.5
oh wait they have the track labels wrong on the review page i was thinking of it backwards
the first 2 mins or so of the third track are probably the best part of the album m/
i wish gentian truth had more going on after the first few mins...it's funny that you can describe both of the last two tracks as having too long / slow outros, i was talking about track 4 but i might as well have meant track 3

What's with the god-awful, jerky start-stop effect on the guitars between almost every chord change? Sounds like either a bad production result of direct lined guitars or the guitarists have difficulty changing chords seamlessly?
It really adds an element of difficulty to enjoying this, which is a shame because this is an otherwise beautiful record.
Anyway, I can't believe I put off checking these guys out for so long....

It actually doesn't bother me...it does give each new chord a little more intensity, so maybe it's intentional?
