I've got the CD of Live VII...the Wavering Radiant songs sound great and if you especially love Caxide's bass, it's very prominent in the mix especially when the reverb heavy parts kick in (i.e. Ghost Key and Hand Of The Host).

Yeah this album's atmosphere is pretty special. These guys' later work especially really has a sound that's never been replicated.

It's awesome to see there's still new fans discovering this band for the first time long after they disbanded...I'm one of them too.

I prefer Panopticon slightly over Oceanic but damn I honestly feel that Isis had a near flawless discography

I knew of Isis by name but never actually heard the music until I found a copy of the Celestial remaster at a record store one day 3 years ago and bought it solely on gut instinct of trying something new at the time. It was an eye opener for me but when I first listened to Oceanic and Panopticon...man, words can't describe how it impacted me.

In The Absence Of Truth is the underrated gem of the 5 IMO. Again, just my opinion, while it ain't my favorite, the final track on that album, Garden Of Light is my favorite Isis song ever.

Mosquito Control is one of the best EPs ever honestly. The Red Sea is good too.

Mosquito Control and The Red Sea are more sludgier and darker sounding than Panopticon and Oceanic (even Celestial too actually). Sawblade might be a mixed bag (I like it for what it is though)...there's a droney intro and outro song and then there's a cover of Streetcleaner by Godflesh and Hand Of Doom by Sabbath in between the drone tracks. If you dig Celestial, SGNL>05 is basically a continuation of the album (they were recorded during the same sessions as the Celestial album).

For what it's worth, since I discovered Isis and subsequently their post-Isis projects, I've seen Mamiffer live once, Old Man Gloom twice, and SUMAC twice. Turner's become somewhat of a musical renaissance man post-Isis and they're all great in my biased, un-humble opinion, LOL.

Palms (Isis w/o Mike Gallagher and Turner) is great too if you're looking for a less metal, more cinematic Isis vibe. But w/Chino Moreno in the fold, your opinion of it might vary depending on how you feel 'bout the Deftones.
