This is some of their best work and I'm starting to like this more than Oceanic honestly. I like how their drummer is a lot more involved here.

Not that he never not "involved" but he really shows how awesome of a drummer he is on here.

this is more technical and proggy than their other stuff, the parts are constantly shifting whereas songs on their other albums are mostly centered around evolving just a couple different ideas. so yeah, their instrumental talents really get a chance to shine here. honestly this, oceanic and panopt switch around within my top 3 all the time

Or Weight and Syndic Calls for that matter. The first three tracks on here are top tier Isis though for sure.

you could make an argument for every Isis album as a classic. I would put Oceanic on top but Panopticon and this aren't far behind. Absence has two of my favorite songs in Dulcinea and Garden of Light though.

in terms of flow and cohesiveness as an album, oceanic is tops, but panopt definitely has my favorite individual tracks

I could agree on that, I really like track 2, 3 and 5 on this. Oceanic and Panopticon are pretty much tied first place for me.

This narrowly beats Oceanic for me, but Panopticon is the bestest
