His cleans are kind of boring at times but they get the job done

If anything I think the pseudo-death growl thing he does sounds more awkward here than cleans (he doesn't growl quite as well as he used to back in the oceanic days), but somehow it all still works.

well I 5'd this so obviously I think he sings fine, but I remember when I first listened to this after panopticon/oceanic and was like "whoa...this guy's scream has aged a bit"

nah i was just confused at how of the cleans vs harsh, people seem to hate the cleans when i think the only thing out of those two that MIGHT not be up to par with their old stuff are the harsh vocals

I like everything about this album, it's fucking special to me.

oh yeah i havent gone through their b-sides or EPs, just the full lengths

I've sampled a few songs off them and they just never seem to do as much for me as the LPs do

i thought "way through woven branches" was the only bonus/b-side off wavering radiant didn't know about this one

it's pretty damn good, even if a bit softer than their stuff on WR still sick

nothing will ever match "20 minutes/40 years" though, that song leaves emotional scars all over the goddamn place

gawd why didn't they just add these few tracks to WR, it didn't need to be only six songs lol

no i heard it right till the end, i think i need a few more listens for it to sink in though like all good isis songs

my fave isis riff would have to be the one in hym. that long ass crunchy stoner riff around the 2:30 mark.

yeah they really couldn't have done much more with their sound after that album, but goddamn I wish they woulda released something new while I was getting into them

kinda sucks when you get into a band that's already broken up, knowing there's a finite amount of music you'll be able to hear and that's it
