Really good album
Digging: Kitchen's Floor - Battle of Brisbane
never heard of it
Have this ready to be listened to, will comply.
albums soooo gay
pavement wish they could write a fucking single song as good as anything on here
lol, pavement have written albums as good as this in their own right
not imo really
crooked rain crooked rain is the closest theyve gotten but i prefer almost any song from this to almost any song from that
crooked rain is probably their weakest out of their classics and only really works the way it does because it comes together as more of a collective than their other albums. pavement were also doing the whole lofi stuff to a higher extent than gbv were with slanted and enchanted and so are just as valuable a band from an "influential" standpoint (but who cares). pollard and malkmus should really be incomparable because they're different musicians (both with huge egos im sure) with different styles. i go to pollard for quirks and malkmus for irony
but, obviously gbv is my favourite band :p
wat? slanted + enchanted isnt more 'lo-fi' than this i dont really think.....
yeah it is
well actually the sound of that (along with watery domestic) is pretty run down, but youre saying pavement "wish they could write songs as good as this" when they released what is probably their biggest critical success 2 years before gbv released theirs.
i dont really care about the critical success because i think slanted and enchanted sucks and this is much better lol
buuuut yeah i get what youre saying now
slanted and enchanted more like awesome and awesome
i like summer babe and here and then thats about it sorry the rest hurts my head
