sounds interesting, the Cynic comparisons were cool.
just make sure you recognize that there are definitely no musical comparisons here. as far as metal goes they're polar opposites

I think this review was a bit undescriptive as far as music goes, and there weren't any real examples to back up your rating but as far as writing goes, it's excellent so I guess it doesn't matter.
I'm a bit skeptical of black metal albums with 13 songs, but I might give this a listen somewhere along the road. This Message Edited On 04.04.09

It's more thrash than black. And the review was plenty descriptive, I suggest actually reading it. He talks about how it walks between black and thrash metal, he references Mayhem and Metallica, he talks about the classical influences, he talks about the keyboards and the guitar solos. Seriously, read.

Yeah, I noticed all of his references, but I'm looking for direct examples from the music, not somebody else's music, and there weren't too many but like I said, its not much of a problem. Anyways, I did read it so dickheaded statements like that aren't necessary.
I'm good with thrash, Kreator is pretty awesome. This Message Edited On 04.04.09

Yeah, this.

Ugh, and you have no idea how much it pisses me off when other people do that trash/thrash thing.

I just noticed the title to track 8 what the hell

Yeah some of the song titles are pretty comical. It is like they couldn't come up with a name so they smashed their keyboard a few times and decided that would be the song title.
Not sure what I think of this yet, need a few more listens.

Well they are from Plano, Texas. Like one of the richer parts of Dallas.

The title for track 8 is a line from (one of the versions of) The Necronomicon. Lovecraft, etc.

That doesn't make it any less ridiculous.

What an idiotic thing to say. Lovecraft > random keyboard mashing.

He didn't say anything about it being better or worse, he just said it was equally ridiculous, which it is.

They should put names on the staff reviews too, I thought this was Cocaine.
