God this album is so weird. Even for DOOM. It's simultaneously his most generic and eclectic work. Auto-tune jokes, homophobia and shitty answering machine message tracks alongside Bukowski and startling production flourishes.
DOOM mixed his raps way too high in some of the tracks (especially on the second half), and fuck me is it lame to hear the recycled Dilla beats. A producer of DOOM's calibre rapping over 'Lightworks' and calling the track 'Lightworks'? Seriously? There's just something off about 2009-era DOOM, no idea what is is.
I loved JJ DOOM though, so I think this was just a misstep.
