Following an initial self-release, major label Warner eventually picked up the rights to 'Sounds Like This', the 2nd studio LP from singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson. Playing acoustic pop, the 27 year old can be compared to Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Ben Folds & the like, but may actually have more range than the majority of his peers. Arrangements are occasionally more unique than meets the eye, with Hutchinson having a decent knack for a hook. Some songs do cross over into bland territory, but the LP's major downfall is that his live charisma doesn't quite shine through here.
