^^^That one's a liiiiiitle bit of a stretch tbh, it's mostly for the epic feel some parts of the songs give off. The other two are much closer, especially Sombres Forets, but this has a pretty unique sound.

This doesn't sound much like WITTR at all.
Good review, but I really can't help but feel like I've heard all this before. The music's good, great even, but it doesn't strike itself as all that unique to me. idk maybe it's just me.

I really haven't heard enough BM to determine how original this is or isn't, but I prefer this to pretty much everything else that sounds even remotely like this, and pretty much everything else BM in general. It's just the right kind of BM for me I guess.

2 gems in one night. This is looking at a 4 and I took Balls up on Farsot, which is looking at a 4 or 4.5. Though I agree fully with Crimson.

I think you will enjoy this scream.
Good looks jingle, from what I know black metal isn't your thing so I'm really glad you're liking this

correction, raw black metal isn't my thing. I'm cool with all the other bms.

Ah, aight, yeah I don't think this is raw. Actually though, I'm not sure what is exactly...

Fuck you balls, I like purple, it's a great color, leave it alone...
;)
I'm really glad people are waiting (I'm assuming for multiple listens) to rate this.

I can't get into the raw stuff. Purple or not, prog, symphonic, melodic, folk, pagan and recently depressive does the job for me.
I gave this one listen and I really liked it from that. I'll listen to this more tomorrow.

Have you tried Melencolia Estatica? I think they would be to your liking. Not melodic black,a bit raw I'd say but they have killer melodies.

Oh fuck I thought he was talking to me for some dumb reason lol

Anybody involved really. Quality black metal bands like Lantlos, Melencolia Estatica, Lunar Aurora, etc need some word of mouth to move the masses to actually going out and acquiring them. I AM A BLACK METAL COMMANDO. HAIL THE ETERNAL SHADOWS OF THE DARK, ICY FORESTS OF HOTH.

jingledeath needs more Ulver - Bergtatt.
If you have any sort of inclination towards Folky Black Metal you absolutely need that record.
But as for other sub-genres of bm, I can't really differentiate them that much, apart from symphonic and raw. There aren't really many bands that I don't enjoy, Burzum's my latest fetish, not sure if they're considered 'raw' or w/e but yeah.

yeah I know Ulver is a must for me. I'm planning on getting the whole discography soon.
