Unless you know the group before this record, there is no way to know that you hear a group of metal. Opeth playing their new style as if it was played since the beginning of their careers. The guitar melodies soupoudrée keyboard give songs a warm, relaxed and slightly melancholy. With the combination of gentle guitars and ambient keyboard and the addition of bass and drums to give support, the atmosphere of tranquility created is so rich that nobody can escape.

Since their first disc, Orchid, Opeth, a metal group suedois, knew a big success to the criticisms of type. The popularity of the group was only going up by the time when they threw their sixth disc, Deliverance, they were a renowned group in Europe and knew success even in North America. But this disc and their following disc, Damnation, went marked a change to the group. Opeth was always acknowledged for their metal style which blends the intensity of this music type with several other elements going of progressive rock to the blues and even some elements of the jazz. This gave another dimension has sound their that can of metal group knows. Their songs (which often attained the threshold of 10 minutes) were characterized by changes suddenly between some quick metal and between acoustics soft sections. Changes gift in albums Deliverance and Damnation is that the group decided of separating their sound.Deliverance contained one hour of persevered metal and Damnation, his counterbalance, contains only quiet songs. Deliverance arrived in 2002 and accepted from good criticisms but was seen all the same as a quality fall. Then in 2003, people wonders? * what would resemble the soft side of the group and if the group would keep the same quality of which they were so much accustomed. And Opeth did not disappoint us.

Music
In moin to know the group before this disc, there is no manner of knowing that you listen to a metal group. Opeth plays their new style as though it was it that they played since the beginning of their career. The melodies of guitar soupoudrée by keyboard give to songs a warm-hearted, relaxant and lightly melancholic atmosphere. With the combination of the soft guitars and the surrounding keyboard and the addition of the low and the battery to give of supports, the atmosphere ofcreated calmness is so rich that nobody can avoid it.

Singing
The singer of the group belonged déj�* marked down in the world of metal for his nice voice. Different influence (�* leaves metal) from the group has him permi to show its talents of singing. But this disc is her the best performance from a distance. It croons doucemment and emotive following the quiet rhythm of instruments. Words often have melancholic topics and are lightly abstracted and created calmness is so rich that nobody can avoid it. The singer change of tone to deliver necessary emotion to accompany the words which he sings.

The check
Instruments and the voice of the singer incorporates splendidly together to create a rich disc in atmospère and which is sure to discharge quiquonque listening. Every member shows knowledge of very good in his respective instrument and in the musical ajancement.

Since i live in Ottawa, Canada, lots of people speak both french and english here so i guess i overestimated the amount of people that do elsewhere. :/

Took French all four years in high school. Pretty good review from what I can read, can't really give criticism though, haven't had a french lesson for nearly a year...

Nice review but it threw me off when I saw a french review... valid points and good writing but I think you mix up "peu" and "peut" a couple times.
