Haha, Gyro these guys are one of my favourite bands, also from my home town ;)
Their very first album is even darker sounding than Violet (if that's even possible) but it still retains its catchiness. Problem is a few of the songs on it are now remixed on their newer albums so I don't listen to it very often except for a couple of songs.
