Everything I've heard from Unearth was kind of bad. This band is easily my favorite metalcore band. I would say God Forbid is my favorite, but I consider them more thrash than metalcore.

Unearth seem to be a love/hate band on this site. I obviously love them, they get me pumped like no other band.

It;s hard to compare the two bands actually cuz even though they're both metalcore, they sound almost nothing alike. I will say these guys have a much better vocalist, but musically they're about equal. These guys are better songwriters, but in terms of soloing and memorable riffs I think i'd have to go with Unearth.

lol, keyword is "excessive". didn't say it shouldn't have breakdowns, i just think they're just done 1000 times better on controller. on here it just seems more like OHLETSPUTABREAKDOWNHERE as opposed to it actually flowing with the song.

i dunno what to say to your liking of the spoken word, different opinions i guess but seriously, they're sooo cheesy. AND I HOPE YOU KNOW I STILL HAVE THOSE PICTURES come on

This is a really solid album. Some gorgeous sections of melody in some of the songs.

Controller is the best, followed by this, and then Mirrors, but all are great albums

Sorry Hawks, but Controller blows this out of the water in terms of song-writing and Karl is a beast.

Gosh, I mean, it's a good album, but I wouldn't call it a "classic".
