Oh god THIS band. I remember VH1 did a countdown of the Top 100 songs of the 90's and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was #1 even though, it barely qualifies as a 90's song. I finally gave in and gave this album a shot and I thoroughly liked it. My favorite song was actually Territorial Pissings. TRYING TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Album is slightly overrated, but the band is most definitely not, In Utero and MTV Unplugged stand as proof of that. Among the Seattle bands of the time, they're still probably topped by the rest of the 'Big 4' but denying the band's influence would be ridiculous.

Probably my least favorite ahah, but still superb. They're all pretty close and outstanding for different reasons.

Soundgarden & Alice in Chains have arguments for themselves but no way is fucking Pearl Jam better than Nirvana

To each his own my friend is what I always say, personally they're one of my all time favorites but I can see why people would be off-put by the band.
