I really liked this album even though it took me a very long time to get into. I think that the highlight of the album for me is "Foreclosure of a Dream" mainly because I love that clean riff noticable right away and through the whole song. I think the solo to "Symphony Of Destruction" is amazing as well; Marty Friedman is truly an excellent guitarist. Overall a wonderful album by Megadeth.

Have you heard the album before this one or the newest one? No wonder you can't get into them if this is all you have.

Rust In Peace is by far the best Megadeth album.

About ten years ago I had this on cassette, and I guess with all the times I played it, I still never got all the way through Side Two. Because when I finally got it on CD and heard 'Ashes In Your Mouth' I thought it was an awesome 'bonus track'. lol. GReat, progressive song. Like the reviewer says, "very strong closing track".

Ashes in Your Mouth is a good track.
I like this album, but it doesn't have too much lasting value for me anymore.

Well ya probably played the heck out of it. I really took this thing for granted when I first had it. I loved the first two tracks, but because I thought that the entire middle was rather weak, it prevented me from playing much of the last third. And, that's really where all the meat is. 7) Countdown to Extinction 8) High Speed Dirt 9) Psychotron and especially 11) Ashes in your Mouth, which might be my second favourite Mega track next to 'Holy Wars'.
