Faceless Mercenary members: "Guys, this album has no melodies or interesting musical interplay or absorbing atmosphere or any thought whatsoever to interesting incorporation of vocals (whether in rhythm or delivery) and pretty much relies solely on polyrhythms and shreds that sound almost as mechanical as the drums."

Michael Keene: "Hell YEAH! All it's missing is some generic sci-fi techdeath album art and we can give it to the WORLD!"

"Look, sumeriancore isn't that great, but some of these bands put out some fun little records with some good moments that sound cool on a commute. You salty motherfuckers need to shut up already, this and the Discovery aren't that bad."

the bolded is kinda ironic lol but i can get behind the first sentence

the problem for me is that it sounds cool like 20% of the time and the rest is padded out with boring ass 1 note chugs. nothing fun about waiting 1 minute for the next 5 second cool part to come around

The Discovery is so bad

Sumerian released some decent stuff pre 2010 but now they're beyond garbage

but honestly if yall think this is the worst tech death has to offer...

check brain drill, abiotic, viraemia, nebulous, arsis, rings of saturn etc

or don't check them really

yo brainmelter Dillinger's new record was released on sumerian and I gotta say, on par with Option Paralysis, maybe even a little better at times.
