Yay more Slipknot hate! This album is pretty much Regressive Metal, just wallowing in the same sound until it feels like my brain cells die when i listen to it.

i suspect that this album and this band recieve a lot of unfair jabs because of who some of their fans are, and just because they're slipknot, there's top shelf drumming and guitar shredding on this and corey's voice, lyrics aside, is really one of the best in the genre

Their best album, even better than Vol. 3, which I wasn't expecting. Iowa and the s/t are fine records, really they're both pretty good, but they just aren't as good as the last two. At least they're moving away from their nu metal roots. I know I'm going to get shit for saying this, but imo it's the best record of 2008. Then again, I may be biased, seeing as I love Slipknot.

I really don't understand what every one sees in Psychosocial that's one of my least favorite tracks here. Gematria, Snuff, and the title track are where it's at.
Also, the three bonus tracks are actually really good, they definitely should have replaced Butcher's Hook with Child of Burning Time and ended the album with Till We Die.
