Nice review. The two songs I've heard from this were painfully, and I mean painfully mediocre. It seems like they have a good idea here and there, but they don't know where to go with it. I Might waste my time and give it a go.

Slipknot have never amounted to anything except for tripe music for kids who are going through puberty. There is a very immature undertone to their music and lyrics. You know how you can listen to a band and catagorize them into a specific demographic; these guys fall into the 14 year old boy and younger section.

Pretty much true. But sometimes that adds to the fun of it all.

I hear yeah taylor and I don't want to come across as a "I have better music tastes than you because I don't listen to kiddish music". I have my immature fun bands too, I just think these guys are a little too over-the-top with their ranting about "How shitty my life is". They are like Staind, except alot more heavy metal driven.

Oh hell yeah, you are totally right (no sarcasm). I agree, but like I said. Once upon a time that was all life seemed to be about. Nowadays it laughable and stupid, but still fun, as mentioned. It's not the kind of stuff going to find some radical introspection.

You're all wrong, fucked and overrated, and it's all you're fault, you're making me sick,

those lyrics you have italicized were fucking empathetic in 8th grade man

i can agree with the wiz on the lyrical content being immature (those kinds of lyrics is what made me gravitate towards hardcore), but i would say the band as a whole is extremely talented and has always done their own thing

I hear yeah on that. I think I was 14-15 years old and I absolutely thought Corey was my hero hahaha.

You've basically summed up my opinion of this album Coc, although I think you like it slightly less than me, I'd give it a 3.

Although I wholehartedly dissagree with the score, this might be the best review I've ever read.

I actually find it quite sad that this album will probably have an average rating of 2.5 by the end of the month... This Message Edited On 08.28.08

This review should open people's eyes a little bit. Slipknot was my favorite band when i was like 16, I think the reason I loved their music wasn't because I was young and stupid but because I felt they were a band who knew who they were, in a sense they were very solid. i feel with volume 3 they just completely got lost, some songs were heavy as hell, some really soft ones, don't get me wrong variety is awesome but not when you sound like different bands on one album. I really feel that it's kinda over for these guys as Slipknot but some of these guys are awesome artists and I'm sure they will be around.
Oh yeah by the way, it's time to lose the masks, half of these guy know damn well they don't want to wear them anymore, gotta give em props though, I feel they are keep them on for their hardcore fan-base.
