I don't get the hate, like mainstream rap has produced anything better than this all year.

also, i dont think this review is very good at all. you rip the album for not having a consistent flow/theme/whatever, you're completely missing the point that this album was designed to be a collection of singles, good songs, produced by different people to give it a really varied sound. You're analyzing this like a rock album, looking for themes, i dont think its far to do that with this. Plus, where as Doctor's Advocate had a loose theme of consistently naming himself the new Dr. Dre, the L.A.X. has a loose theme of the constant LA love and rep, although that has always been a theme in his music, this album is the LAX, the album from LA. I dont know, i think this album is great.

I don't care about a concept or continuing thing, I care about an album with no flow to it and conflicting sounds and ideas. One second he's a gang banger the next he's warning us about being a gangbanger, then he's all about the west coast, then he's all about uniting east and west. It has nothing to do with theme and everything to do with quality consistency and integrity.

The fact that it's all over the place isnt' even as big of a deal when you consider most of the songs arent good. The ones that are good are really good though.

I havent heard this or anything but i think the review was pretty good. I guess the whole "flow" thing is that it doesnt work as an album. It might be good as independent songs but not as a unit.

Good review. I get your whole flow theory about the album. I'm not a big fan of The Game, but this ain't bad. Yeah, I'm kinda confused with Game's whole switch-personality.

Cocaine, it's not really an inconsistent record like that. Just because he reps a West Coast gang doesn't mean his beliefs stem from it. There is a huge difference in hip-hop between letting everyone know where your from/where you live and your ideals.
