The first two paragraphs make it seem like HH ever had talent. Three guitars working to climaxes? lol.

I'm with Joe here in the sense that you way oversell their three guitar attack. IMO you gave their past releases a bit too much credit and this too little.

but it's pretty clear that they've streamlined the heavier aspect of their sound since Casey died.
This is definitely true, but I ultimately think this was for the better. I mean this in the sense that their direction while at is bit more cliche is more focused overall. There aren't any genre arguments to fuss over and there won't be any retards on their myspace saying "you guys should scream more." I'll go into more in depth about those thoughts in my review though, they are kind of jumbled there.

these guys are one of the bands i don't want to hear before I die. Yet sadly i have heard a glimpse of that hit song of theirs

I'm not sure why people are confused as to why Dave gave this a 1.

Me either.

Well, I'm not calling them good, but I doubt this is at the level of K-fed or Soulja Boy.

What a surprise...a reviewer from this site gave this band's album a bad rating. Who didn't see that coming?

I've not heard this, and probably won't anytime soon, if ever. I'm only surprised at the rating because the review, which is very well written, read a lot more like a 1.5 or a 2. Maybe its because it contained no senseless bashing of the band/material. Anyway, the review is good.

Actually i despise this band, i just find it funny how certain bands could put out a masterpeice and people on this site would diss it.

Agreed! Rating a well written review a 1 doesn't mean it has to sound mean and nasty in its objectivity.

Sonic, either comment on the review or shut up. Take your faggotry elsewhere.

I don't really get how such a review gives 1 star considering you didn't really say it was a terrible album. Personally i've always hated HH and couldn't care less that one of them has passed. People die, shit happens, welcome to life, get over it.

I might give this a listen though just to see if it is even possible that HH have gotten worse :/

I agree with dave. casey's screaming was probably the most intersting and enjoyable part of their songs imo/
