It's a pretty enjoyable album.

Arghoslent pays attention to buildup, climax, letdown, dynamics and general ass-kickery

Letdown? I don't understand that term.

Other than that, very impressive review masscows. I'm guessing you spent ALOT of time on this seeing how your ideas and writing style reflect how this album flows; solid! I agree with everything said here and I personally think this is the best death metal album EVER! Good luck topping this!

Listened to this a few times last night, and right now it stands at around a 3.5-4, but definitely the best death metal album I've heard this year. Hope it grows on me.

Yeah, this album started to really sink in after like the 30th time I listened to it. The way the songs are structured and set up in general reflects an action, event or mood they're trying to convey. Really clever songwriters, these guys.
I left some of the descriptions/analyzations I had planned for some of the other songs out to prevent it from being like a miniature track-by-track review.

the opposite of climax

This does not answer my question and I was not asking you. If this is true, why would someone want to listen to something that is anticlimactic?

I think he means how the climax of the song resolves itself, which is a pretty important part.

yeah, like in the Nubian Archer the riff before the final solo would be the buildup, the solo with the main riff under it would be the climax and the slow melodic arpeggios with the "BORN WITH GENETIC IMPERFECTIONS" lyric would be the letdown.

Album is fucking fantastic. Really digging the darker feel in comparison to Incorrigible Bigotry. This Message Edited On 12.14.08
