just seen this review/comment thread and it really is heart-warming to see. We broke up a bunch of
years ago now due to assorted shit which would bore you if I recounted it. It was never a musical
thing though. We are still great friends for the most part and some of us still make music together.
Reading this thread tonight has been gratifying and hilarious (vocalist comment springs to mind!)

I did a list of about 20 a while back man, late 90s/early 2000s stuff
That was my scene man, good days. Some really hasnt aged that well so where kept off that list haha Canvas where the absolute sh1t though yeah. Profane never really got the credit in that scene as they were always kinda more a metal band and eventually moved in a more metal scene with this album. Considering the type of adjacent stuff that blew up which this is MILES better than, its baffling. Unbelievably good band.

Always blows my mind to find some records out of nowhere that sound so huge and innovative but never really got that credit/would have been left to obscurity if not for some fans keeping it alive.

There were others around then that were really good but some of just doesn't sound that great now especially when production wasn't even a thing really it was just get your music out. Where great times though indeed. Profanes stuff after this like 4 songsalso but it never got to being a 2jd record as they split but it's on bandcamp.

Yeah honestly a measure of rawness is never too bad, and for smaller bands, it sorta adds to that whole DIY aesthetic and the mythos and whatnot. Would love to know if this vocalist ended up ever doing anything else.
