Cape Canaveral is easily the best acoustic song I've heard this month. And NYC- Gone, Gone is a great remix of cotton eye joe. Im stoked for the release on the 5th.

Good stuff. I like how he recorded this in a hut in mexico and it still sounds great. Different then Bright Eyes too. The name being his own makes it different.

I didn't notice it right away, Cape Canaveral and Sausalito really jumped out to me at first listen, but after giving the album a few more listens to, Danny Callahan is by far one of the best songs I've heard in a long time.

"So not excited about this. I really didn't like Cassadaga much, and I imagine this is in the same vein."

that's retarded. it is most definitely in your imagination. purchase with haste and don't come back 'til you have.

I absolutely love this album - this is, in my books, 2nd only to I'm Wide Awake.

I really love Eagle On A Pole.. reminds me alot of Bright Eyes. As well as Danny Callahan. So good :D

I loved this album, the songs also make for a great live show. When I saw them, both opening acts came back out for "I don't wanna die in the hospital" and Ben Kweller just showed up too, so the last song consisted of 16 people just jamming for about 6 minutes.

The "Gentleman's Pact" EP is something you should check out; it is more bright eyes sounding for all the bright eyes fans out there

So this grew on me a bit and I bumped the rating up a bit. Hopefully it will keep on getting better.

Gonna bump this because it started at a 3.5 and is now a 4.5. Definitely a grower and one of my favourite records of 2008. phenomenal. Cape Canaveral, Sausalito, Lenders in the Temple, Danny Callahan, Eagle on a Pole, Moab, Souled Out!!!, Milk Thistle...f**k that's like the whole album. Absolute, brilliance.

I'm pissing my pants for May 5th. From the 30 second preview of each song on the 2nd album, I can't wait for it.
