Very good review. The best Metallica album - only Master of Puppets can hold a candle to it.

I still think Escape and Trapped Under Ice are horrible and drag it down quite a bit.

Awesome album...not so awsome review. The two tracks Escape and Trapped Under Ice are'nt that bad there still a fuck load better than alot of other thrash bands could manage at the time.

I would say Escape and Trapped Under Ice, are much better than Fight Fire With Fire. The intro was pretty good, but the rest annoyed me. Excelent Review though

The mere fact that this album is rated below a 4.5 by the author insults me and the entire genre personally. This is by far one of the best metal albums of all time.

Well in light of that John D., i also found it quite strange that he had such high praise for the album and yet rated it a 3 was quite strange.

Okay i found what i was looking for.
I did know that, thank you. I just couldn't resist commenting on it. And as for the mediocre thing, I never said the album was mediocre. It's a good metal album, but doesn't have what it takes to be a good album outside of the genre. It's for fans of Metallica, metal in general, and not really much more. Plus it's got those two bad tracks.
Okay, this just doesnt make sense. How can this band give albums like As Daylight Dies by Killswitch Engage a 4.5, and yet give this a 3 because it wouldn't be nice to everyone?

This is quite inconsistent with this site, and my personal music tastes. I love As Daylight Dies, but a modern metalcore album cannot appeal to more people that this classic metal album.

Why does he have to be consistent with the site and your personal tastes?

Actually what the fuck. What does Killswitch have to do with anything? This Message Edited On 10.09.07

Well, nevermind. I just find it strange that a contributing reviewer act accordingly.

Ah well. Fuck it.

that's probably the best track by track review I have ever read. Well done. I also agree with you on Escape and Trapped Under Ice, don't care much for those tracks.
