when did i say this has anything to do with the blues besides the way in which he is singing?

and if someone just said its "more rnb than blues" jesus stop being an idiot.

no one is saying the music is rnb, his VOICE is more rnb then blues. if you can't see the rnb influence in the way he sings then you need to pay more attention.

That's the thing, though - the way he is singing has nothing to do with blues. Listen to Robert Johnson, or John Lee Hooker, or even Seasick Steve - none of them sound like Craig.

"whoah what a wide variety and selection of people spanning the genre good job"

better then you just randomly saying it sounds like blues without giving any examples.

so im really late commenting (im new to sputnik) but i really was let down by this album. i had been listenin to emarosa for a bit, and they are actually who i model my band after a bit- good amount of screams, light but well placed cleans, small synth use- but this band is just not fun anymore.

They are completely reliant on the vocals, and the rest of the sound gets stale really quick.

anyway, i gave this album a listen and it gets so boring towards the last few tracks. really couldn't see myself sitting through this one again but there is some decent songs on the album like the past should stay dead, set it off like napalm, and what's a clock without batteries, but the rest are all filler tracks. it backs up my statement that Emarosa are more back-up to Jonny Craig rather than an actual band.

As much as I hate Jonny Craig, the opening minute of this record is one of my favourite musical moments.

TAAAAAAILOOOORED SHEEEEETS.
