Haha nice I haven't noticed. That man is a genius though. I wish he would start making black metal again.

I just wish he would make another album period. Shadows of the Sun is every bit as amazing as Bergtatt. The fact that he can go from that to Shadows (two albums on completely different ends of the musical spectrum) and have them be as atmospheric and amazing as they are, is the ultimate testament to his genius.
But yeah, I would obviously welcome a return to black metal with open arms haha.

I agree. Shadows of the Sun is great stuff, same with Perdition City. His black metal stuff was fucking incredible though.

Yeah, this included. The subtleties of some of the synth work on here and the layering of everything is just incredible to me.

Yeah literally everything that he has done in the black metal genre is fantastic. The guy is just a master of his craft haha.

Certainly of his vocal craft. Not sure how much he contributed to this and Bergtatt musically, but it would still seem everything he touches turns to gold.
Except that new Dimmu song...

My rating bump raised this from 3.8 to 3.9. Yay!
Although I'm not sure if rating this 3.5 or 4, this is solid definitely. Will stay at 4 for now.

All of their albums are pretty awesome except for Quintessence. At least I think so.
