that is arguable, definitely. tago mago has one section that sound almost like proto grind, its so bizarre, and i cant think of a contemporary of theirs that was doing anything like that when they made tago. i guess this just floats in a space where id pretty much consider it post rock to some degree.... it has elements that resemble early electronica as well. but when i hear this it comes across as having a sort of mysterious, prophetic quality.... truly future days, this album still sounds out there.



it doesn't contain any psych freakout tracks like tago, and thats what also sets it a part for me.

"pretty much consider it post rock to some degree" Yeah, certainly this and Tago Mago had an influence on Mark Hollis. "it doesn't contain any psych freakout tracks like tago" That's exactly why Tago is better.
