I have to go and make the generic comment by saying In The Court is amazing and a prog masterpiece (if you can overlook the last section of Moonchild). Red is superb as well. Larks was a bit too experimental for my doing though.

You're right. It was particularly a difficult (read nearly impossible) period for progressive rock. The ruthless Dark Age was well established at that time.
