Haha, and yeah I have but not for ages. It's not on the same level as Leviathan or Blood Mountain that's for sure. You heard those two?

Nah, was gonna start with this and work my way up but this left me kinda disillusioned. Need more listens though. And I liked what I heard from Blood Mountain better than the stuff here. Haven't heard anything from Leviathan.

This is better than Leviathan. I really loved Leviathan at first but it grew off of me real fast. It has some of Mastodon's best but I also feel like half of the album is kinda lackluster. Blood Mountain is their best by far. You heard the song "Sleeping Giant?"

Leviathan is the best dude, then Blood Mountain - but both are leaps and bounds above this.

Blood and Thunder, Megalodon, Aqua Dementia, and Hearts Alive are excellent tracks, but the rest don't stand out much to me. I don't see why everyone loves Iron Tusk so much, there's nothing special about it imo.
I haven't listened to this much, but I love the energy present here. I like this heavier side of Mastodon, especially in songs like March of the Fire Ants, Trainwreck, and Mother Puncher. Elephant Man is also really good, maybe better than Pendulous Skin.
