Apocalyptic City

I hated The Legacy because the melodies were predictable as all hell.

Ive just starting getting into these guys. Some good old school metal. Sounds like this is what Trivium wants to be but can't. ALso, does anyone else think their singer sounds a lot like Mudvayne's. Or vice versa. Maybe Im crazy.

Testament along with Exodus are like the most copied thrash metal bands ever... after Metallica i guess.

Why no one tries to copy Megadeth just escapes me (lol)

You really need to change that, most people (rightfully) consider either The New Order or The Legacy their best album.

This obviously doesn't touch their classic work but kicks off in the best way possible and pretty much doesn't let up. Most thrash bands can only wish they made a comeback as solid as this one.

I still really like this album, which I can't say for Dark Roots Of Earth. Even the worse tracks off of this (Dangers Of The Faithless, Afterlife, Leave Me Forever) are actually pretty good and the best tracks (More Than Meets The Eye, Title Track, The Evil Has Landed, The Persecuted Won't Forget, Henchmen Ride) are far better than anything off of Dark Roots besides Throne Of Thorns.
