Newer IF isn't as good, but this album is still pretty good. Also, contrary to what many people say, I think this album is better than Come Clarity.

I'd give this album a 3.2 out of 5. I love everything about it, but it gets old a little fast. This is the first CD I heard by In Flames, and its great.

The main review at the top is a little poorly written.

I only really like the first five tracks on this one. For some reason I just cant get into the rest of it. Thank God for those first five. Other wise Id have to slap it with the "Its their worst" tag.

Dawn of a New Day rules, so do the first couple then I don't really care for anything except maybe free fall.

I seem to be the only one that feels this way, but I think Dawn of a New Day is an amazing song. It's probably my favorite from the album. Very emotional and Anders singing is surprisingly good in it, imo. A nice experimental song from them. Album is pretty average, though. Half bad songs, some good, some ok.

I bought this album to lose my In Flames virginity. Bad idea sorta. It's not half bad, but not nearly a Melodic Death MEtal gem. It is more Nu-Metalcore than anything else. I swear he sounds like Jonathan Davis on some songs, but still decent. ;)

If you think its "nu-metalcore" and only decent, why did you give it a 4? Giving an album a 4 means you think its excellent.

I have all these cds, so the argument of old In Flames vs. new In Flames is useless to me. This is a solid release, and by far not the band's worst outing. Wondering why everyone who says this is a great album has ratings of 1.5-2.5 though...that seems a bit moronic.

Right on CrazyFool. This was my first IF album also and I've listened to it countless times. They came up with alot of really good catchy melodies on this.

I don't understand how anyone can rate this above a 3.5, it's a piece of crap compared to colony and jester race.
