i feel like their guitarist from back then brought a lot to the table. musically, this album is so much better than the rest.

Been jamming "Truth" so often this week. Gonna have to give this whole thing a spin sometime soon.

Best Seether album to date. World Falls Away and Because of Me are bangers

A lot of people rank this at Seether's best work, along with Disclaimer and Disclaimer II, but neither of these 3 albums can even come close to Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces. Fake It, Breakdown, Rise Above This. Just on those 3 songs alone makes Finding Beauty more powerful than Seether's first couple of albums. Problem with Karma & Effect is that all the songs are derivative and most are boring at the same time zzz. I would probably even put Holding Onto Strings above Karma & Disclaimer. Strings is a much more powerful, mature, expansive album than the early stuff. True stuff.

After this album they devolved in rinse and repeat post-grunge, are you sure you were listening right? This album has riffs and nice metallic edge and D1&D2 have that primal energy and exuberance. I think you're a bit mixed up bud.

Yeah this isn't as good as I remember it being but it is a massive improvement from Disclaimer II, which I think it's a chore to get through.

there are definitely some songs i don't like as much as i did when i was younger but when it comes to "mainstream" rock/metal this album rules. love how gritty it is, and the how unrefined the heavier parts are.

It's gritty and often darker than, say, Nickelback or Creed. But what I don't like about early Seether is that I feel I'm listening to Staind covering Nirvana songs or smth. They are not the worst of butt rock but nothing special either. I do agree with the other guy that Holding Onto Strings... has some very good songs and I prefer some of the latter material because Shaun sounds like he is doing his own thing rather than sounding like a discount Kurt Cobain.

Did any of you see that Reddit AMA Seether did where the community just completely ripped them to shit? I felt so sorry for them.
Fax comin thru: this is indisputably their best album, and the person above me claiming that Fake It is one of their best songs is whack as all fuck. Rise Above This is lit tho, won't call you out there
